What is Narcan?

Narcan is a nasal spray form of naloxone, a medication that can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose.

Why keep it on hand

According to the CDC, a bystander was present in 43% of opioid overdoses in 2023. Carrying naloxone means that bystander can be the reason someone survives.

Is it safe?

Yes. Naloxone has no effect on someone who hasn't taken opioids, so if you suspect an overdose, call 911 and give it.
